Meet Our Staff: Bedford Youth and Family Services is about people – you, the citizens of Bedford; the youth and adults who use our services; our staff, volunteers, and Committee members. What we create between us in our interactions is what community is all about.

My name is Sue Baldauf, and I am the Director of Bedford Youth and Family Services (BYFS). I am the one to talk to about general issues of concern or to arrange an appointment for counseling. I represent BYFS on community coalitions, including Violence Prevention Coalition (VPC), and Bedford Community Partnership (BCP). I also represent Bedford with regional groups such as Community Health Network Area (CHNA) 15 and the Youth Council of the Metro Southwest Regional Employment Board. Please visit the Message from the Director page for a personal message from me after you scroll down to meet the rest of our staff.

Hi! I’m Fran Stander, BYFS Administrative Assistant. I am very often the first voice you will hear if you call and the first face you see when you walk into our offices on the second floor of the Town Center building. I know about all our services and can refer you to the right person. I coordinate schedules and appointments to ensure everything runs smoothly. My special projects are Job Match and the Community Social Services Reference Guide.
Hello! I am Jessica Santos, the Prevention Services Coordinator for Bedford Youth and Family Services. I coordinate the Middle School After School Program, and the Peer Mentor Program. I work closely with the Bedford Public Schools and the School Health Coordinator on tobacco, alcohol, and drug education. I also work with the Bedford Schools and The Bedford Police to provide Alcohol and Drug diversion programs. Each November I coordinate Substance Abuse Awareness Month activities and mail the updated Safe Homes Directory to the families participating in this community program. I coordinate the biannual Youth Risk Behavior Survey and disseminate the results of the survey to the community.
