29.3 Purpose
The purpose of the Council on Aging is to coordinate and carry out programs designed to meet the needs of the aging and their care providers in the Town of Bedford.
29.4 Responsibilities
The Council shall:
• identify and assess the concerns and interests of the over-60 population of the Town, as well as the existing resources to meet those needs
• develop and implement programs and services for the aging population and coordinate services and programs with other Town departments and the existing elder service network in the area and state
• educate the public at large as to the variety and extent of elder needs, skills, and services
