Volunteers Needed on Town Government Committees

Bedford's appointed committees consist of volunteers who live in Bedford and are registered Bedford voters. They work toward solving complex issues and setting or recommending policy that helps to shape the kind of community in which we live.

Currently, volunteers are needed to fill vacancies on the following Committees: Arbor Resource, Bicycle Advisory Committee, Cable TV Advisory Committee, Housing (Fair, Partnership), Patriotic Holiday, Recreation Commission, and ZBA Associates.

Terms of office vary from one to three years. Most committees meet monthly. If you would like to be a part of Town Government, please initiate the process for appointment by filling out a volunteer questionnaire (available from the Selectmen's office at 781-275-1111 and printable on line at www.town.bedford.ma.us), and visiting a meeting of the committee that interests you. Committee schedules, names of members, and responsibilities are all available by calling the office of the Town Manager at 781-275-1111, or Volunteer Coordinating Committee Chair Dawn Theodore at 781-275-9243.

Questionnaire for Volunteers Form can be printed, completed, and mailed to the Town Manager's Office, Town Hall at 10 Mudge Way, Bedford, MA 01730.
